Life at Mercy
Mercy is more than care. It's community, activity, good food and familiar comforts. Here's a closer look at daily life across both centres.
A Typical Day at Mercy
Every resident's routine is personalised around their own care plan. This is simply a general rhythm most days follow.
Rise & Refresh
Caregivers assist with waking, personal hygiene and dressing, followed by breakfast together in the dining hall.
Health & Movement
Vitals checks by the nursing team, followed by light exercise, physiotherapy or a therapy session for residents who need it.
Lunch & Rest
A shared midday meal, followed by quiet time or an afternoon nap for residents who wish to rest.
Activities & Company
Arts and music therapy, games, garden time or social activities, depending on the day's programme.
Dinner & Family Time
Dinner together, followed by time for family visits or calls, and a gentle wind-down routine.
Rest & On-Call Support
Nursing staff remain on-site overnight, with 24/7 emergency call bells within reach of every resident.
Meals that feel like home, planned with care
Meals at Mercy are planned around each resident's dietary needs and preferences, and served family-style in a shared dining room rather than delivered to a bedside tray. Softened textures, modified diets and portion adjustments are accommodated where a resident's care plan calls for it.
- Freshly prepared meals, several times daily
- Dietary and texture modifications available where needed
- Shared dining tables that encourage company over meals
- Special festive meals for celebrations
